Hi! I'm Mary Jane Mahoney, and I've been living the good life here in the foothills for over 30 years. The opportunities for recreation and relaxation are endless, we have great educational opportunities, restaurants, community events...whatever you desire, you'll find it here...great place to raise a family! I know because I'm a mom and grandma.
It pleases me to see the large numbers of people on Saturday morning at our farmers' market...we know our local farmers and ranchers and support all that they are doing to bring us fresh, healthy, and delicious food. Ever since my days at UC Berkeley, where I studied biochemistry and understood the great gift a human body is, I have been a foodie!
If you love the outdoors, as I do, the possibilities are huge...hiking, boating, swimming, running, bike riding, tennis, golf...I'm running out of room here. I am an avid hiker and can be in the backcountry for a day hike or spend the day at the river. In the winter, I'm close to mountain resort areas that folks from all over the world travel to in order to enjoy what's right here at my door step. I was raised in Ontario, Canada, and northern Illinois, so my love of all things involving water is in my bones. Perhaps it's in yours, too.
I have been active in theater since my high school days, with a few breaks for raising a family, and currently am a member of the Placer Community Theater, where I have served on the board, acted, directed, painted sets, helped raise funds...it's an ongoing endeavor. And whenever I can get back to Chicago (a great city), I head for Steppenwolf and Second City.
While I was studying finance and public administration at UCLA I became interested in court reporting through a friend, and the rest, as they say, is history.
My experience as a court reporter, deposition firm owner, and service to my court reporting community provided me with invaluable tools necessary for a skilled real estate agent. During my reporting career, I served on the board and as president of the California Court Reporters Association.
I've now been serving my community as a realtor for over 15 years and have earned designations and professional awards along the way. My greatest awards, however, come from the friendships and referrals along this path. It's a good life!
